TRON address
"Activated" means the address has received at least one transaction on-chain. Energy powers smart contract calls (like USDT transfers); Bandwidth covers plain transfers. Both can be rented instantly if you're running low.
Frequently asked questions
Every TRON address needs to receive at least one transaction to be recognized on-chain. Before that, it can't hold Energy or Bandwidth — this is normal for a freshly generated address that hasn't been used yet.
Energy isn't free the way a small amount of Bandwidth is — it only comes from staking TRX or renting it. Holding TRX alone doesn't give you Energy; without it, transactions that call smart contracts (like USDT transfers) burn TRX instead.
It's read live from the TRON network via TronGrid, cached for about 15 seconds per address to avoid hammering the node on repeated checks — for practical purposes, it's real-time.
Energy covers smart contract calls — most commonly USDT (TRC-20) transfers. Bandwidth covers plain transfers, like sending TRX. An address can be low on one and fine on the other.
